BACKGROUND / ABOUT & CV

About me.

Background, interests, and an overview of my professional experience.

Dr Andrew Coote

I'm a doctor and clinical informatician interested in how thoughtfully designed digital systems can make healthcare safer and more effective. My work brings together clinical practice, software development, quality improvement and a curiosity about how people actually use technology.

I'm a medical administration registrar and Clinical Informatics Centre Fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and a research assistant in clinical artificial intelligence at the University of Melbourne. I'm also a candidate with the Royal Australian College of Medical Administration.

Beyond healthcare technology, I enjoy exploring ideas about design, management, learning and the small ways we can make things better. This site is a place to share some of that thinking.
